Why is there water under my refrigerator?
Short answer
Two causes account for almost every puddle under a built-in refrigerator: a defrost drain that has frozen shut, so the melt-water backs up and runs out under the door, or a split water line feeding the ice maker. Both are cheap to fix and neither stops on its own — and the floor underneath is absorbing water the whole time you are deciding.
